Football - District Quarter Final - U15A v Wexham

From the first whistle, Windsor Boys’ pressed well and controlled possession with Wexham firmly on the back foot. It took a while to break through, but then James Field found himself in a space to score with a nice left foot finish. This started the flow of goals and there only looked like one winner. The next was a goal from Devon Hill scoring off the post and the third was added by Ben Mongey with a neat header from a corner. Harry Evans scored the last goal of the half with a really nice goal off the crossbar which left the keeper no chance to save. There could and should have been more, but due to some poor finishing and excellent keeping, we went in at half time 4-0 up. Second half kicked off and the game nearly won, Windsor made some changes giving keeper Leo Murrell the chance to show his skills at the other end of the pitch. Wexham took advantage of this and got one back after a messy goal mouth scramble but we then answered with Rufus Gilbert scoring a tap in to make it 5-1. Windsor gave a penalty away after a handball in the box and Wexham converted despite the diving effort from stand in keeper Kian Afroog. With a few minutes to go we get a penalty, Leo Murrell stepped up and converted calmly to finish the game 6-2.
