The Link - Behaviour Support Unit

Learning - Inclusion - Nurture - Kindness

Our Vision

To provide early intervention and targeted support within a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment where every student feels a genuine sense of belonging, discovers their purpose and is empowered to achieve success both in school and beyond.

Our Approach

At The Windsor Boys’ School, we create a consistent, supportive and caring learning environment where every child feels safe, valued and understood. We recognise that every learner is unique, and we provide the time, space and support needed for students to progress at a pace that builds confidence and promotes success.

Our provision supports personalised learning pathways, acknowledging that each student’s journey is different — from developing emotional regulation and confidence through to achieving GCSE qualifications and preparing for future education, training or employment opportunities.

Within The LINK, we adopt a therapeutic approach to education that prioritises rebuilding trust, strengthening resilience and fostering positive relationships. These principles underpin every aspect of school life, both inside and outside the classroom.

We work collaboratively with families, carers and external professionals to ensure that every pupil receives tailored support that enables them to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

Above all, we are committed to every child’s right to belong, to learn and to flourish.

Our Ethos

Every child deserves a school that believes in them, supports them and never gives up on them.

At The Windsor Boys’ School, relationships, trust and belonging are at the heart of everything we do. We understand that behaviour is a form of communication, and we are dedicated to helping each pupil move forward emotionally, socially and academically through a balance of structure, compassion and high expectations.

Our approach is trauma-informed, relational and restorative, with a strong focus on rebuilding confidence, nurturing resilience and empowering every student to successfully re-engage with education and realise their full potential
