Marcus Chute and Jacob Ioras represented Great Britain and raced at Munich International Regatta, a high performance Regatta in Germany. The Regatta sees some of the best rowers in Europe competing and is seen as a stepping stone event towards the European U19 Championship at the end of May and the World U19 Rowing Championships in August.

Marcus Chute racing in the single scull was outstanding on the Saturday, progressing to the ‘A’ final before taking the GOLD medal in a awesome display of single sculling racing. This result will give him real confidence for the European Championships which are the weekend of the 20/21/22 of May in Varese, Italy.

Meanwhile Jacob Ioras raced in the double scull event on Sunday. Jacob teaming up with Guy Hutchins from Henley Rowing Club put in an excellent display to win a gold medal from their race.
