Students new to WSSF (currently in Year 11 at other schools)

Sixth Form open evenings

  • 20 October 2026: courses taught at the Windsor Girls’ School site
  • 22 October 2026: courses taught at The Windsor Boys’ School site

We strongly encourage you to attend both open evenings where possible.

Applying

After open evening, if you wish to make an application you will need to complete the external applicant online application form HERE (Application Form For Entry into Windsor Schools’ Sixth Form – Year 12 September 2027).

The deadline for completing the application form is 15 January 2027.

We look forward to receiving your application.

Being offered a place

Offers of places in Windsor Schools Sixth Form are conditional, based on your final GCSE or Level 2 results. To be offered a place, your results will need to meet the WSSF general entry criteria as well as the minimum entry requirements for your chosen courses.

For complete applications received before 15 January 2027, conditional offers will be issued by the 31 January 2027.

WSSF has a maximum of 30 places for external students. Should WSSF receive more than 30 external student applications, places will be offered in strict accordance with the WSSF Admissions criteria, as published in the WSSF Admissions Policy. All other applications will be held on a waiting list. Places on the waiting list will be ordered in strict accordance with the WSSF Admissions criteria, as published in the WSSF Admissions Policy.

As all offers are conditional on your results in August, places cannot be confirmed until results day.

After you receive a conditional offer

Once a conditional offer has been made, we will contact you to request two supporting documents. These are required as part of the pre-enrolment process and must be submitted before your place can be progressed.

  • Predicted grades: provided on school letterhead, signed by your Head of Year or equivalent and stamped with your school stamp.
  • Character reference: completed using the form that will be sent to you with your conditional offer, signed by your Head of Year or equivalent and stamped with your current school stamp.

Please note that these documents are used for pre-enrolment planning purposes only. They play no part in the decision on whether to offer you a place, which is based solely on your final GCSE or Level 2 results.

WSSF will hold a pre-enrolment day on 18 March 2027, when we will confirm which courses we can provisionally reserve for you.

WSSF reserves the right to withdraw a course if there is insufficient demand. Where this happens, we will contact affected students and help them choose a suitable alternative
