PSHE

At TWBS, we champion ourselves on teaching effective and relatable PSHE lessons in line with the current PSHE Association guidance. From Year 9 to Year 11, PSHE covers a wide variety of topics and issues with a focus on educating and supporting students throughout their transition from adolescence to adulthood, preparing them for their future careers and lifestyles. Across the three years, we cover three main categories: Health & Wellbeing, Relationships & Sex Education and Living in the Wider World. We also cover careers in Year 9 and aid revision in Year 11. We also have close relationships with local theatre companies, the schools nurse, and outside agencies who we often bring in to deliver topic specific sessions and workshops. These are to ensure that topics are delivered to the greatest standard and give students an opportunity to learn in a new and interesting way.
