Governor Information
Welcome to the Governors’ Section
The Governing Body has a wide-ranging remit but its core functions are:
- Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction
- Holding the executive leaders to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils, and the performance management of staff
- Overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure its money is well spent
- Ensuring the voices of stakeholders are heard
All our work links to the current Ofsted framework which focuses on four key areas: -
- Achievement of Students
- Quality of Teaching
- Behaviour and Safety of Students
- Quality of Leadership and Management
The Governing Body meets six times per year, with additional meetings as required.
The Governors
Governors come from many backgrounds and have a wide range of skills and experiences, which bring an independent view to issues of strategy, performance, the management of resources and setting the standards and expectations of the school. All governors are committed to the success of the school and to ensuring that all students are given every opportunity to fulfil their potential.
