U14 Cricket TWBS v Eton College - Jun 18, 2021

On Tuesday 15th July TWBS U14 cricket team welcomed Eton College to Stovell Field for what turned out to be an exciting day of cricket.

Eton College won the toss and decided to bat first and took charge of the game from the start making 58 runs off the first 10 overs.

TWBS confidence was on a high following their match with Claire’s Court School last week. Captain Jake Seeburg positioned his teammates excellently around the pitch as TWBS collect 8 wickets over the 20 overs which included 2 run outs by Ashwin Patel and Kumayle Hussain. Eton College showed great determination and finished on 148 runs.

TWBS needed 149 runs to win the match, with Jake Seeburg and Marcus Downie started the chase by hitting 3 fours off the first 5 balls. Eton college displayed excellent bowling, with TWBS losing wickets quickly. However, Kumayle Hussain managed to steady the game collecting 10 runs before being caught out and TWBS finished 38 all out.
